Yuki Yanagida, a professional baseball player from Softbank, unveiled a voluntary training session in Hiroshima Prefecture and set a goal of "hitting 30 home runs."

On the 19th, Yanagida, who is from Hiroshima Prefecture, opened a voluntary training session in Kure City.

Yanagida, who is 35 years old this year, is a slugger who represents the baseball world, but has not reached 30 home runs in the last four seasons.

The aim of the training was to build a body that would not get injured, so Yanagida enthusiastically repeated dashes with eight young athletes, mostly in their early twenties.

Furthermore, in batting practice, he hit sharp hits with his full swing as if to set an example in front of future left-handed batters such as Teruaki Sato of the Hanshin Tigers and Kotaro Kiyomiya of the Nippon-Ham.

Yanagida said, "I still feel as good as the young players. It's a great opportunity for me to learn, and I'm inspired as a rival."

And he set a specific goal for the next season, saying, "I haven't even hit 30 home runs in the last few years. I want to hit 30 first."
