20-year-old Truls Möregårdh, who is the reigning vice world champion in table tennis, is making a comeback for his Eslöv in the Table Tennis League on January 31.

The new contract with Eslöv runs through this season, and his return to Swedish league play becomes possible because he partially breaks with his German club Neu-Ulm, which Möregårdh joined last summer.

- I will continue to play in the Champions League, but not in the Bundesliga.

Thomas (Andersson, chairman of Eslöv) this weekend and in the end we worked out a good deal.

- It will be incredibly fun to play in the Table Tennis League again, I like playing for Swedish audiences.

And I want to win SM gold with Eslöv.

Only lost one match

During the autumn and winter, Truls Möregårdh has been successful in Germany.

In the Bundesliga he is 5-0 in matches, in the German Cup – which his Neu-Ulm won after the final win against Borussia Düsseldorf – he was undefeated and in the Champions League Möregårdh has won seven matches and lost only one.

And in February the semi-finals will be decided, also then with Timo Boll's Düsseldorf as opposition.

- I have developed a lot.

It's been great fun, I've learned a lot that made me a better player.

This league combination that I now get in Germany and Sweden will work very well.

Star-studded team

In Germany, Truls Möregårdh is a teammate with, among others, Japanese world number four Tomokazu Harimoto, Taiwanese world number eight Lin Yun-Ju and German world eleven Dimitrij Ovtcharov.

In the table tennis league, Eslöv is second to last after seven rounds, but has only four points to league leader Söderhamn.

Last season, Möregårdh won all 33 singles matches in the regular season and the playoffs, where his Eslöv against Halmstad in the SM final.
