Yesterday, the FIFA Medical Center in Dubai opened its new headquarters in the Al Jaddaf area, in continuation of the work of the center, which is the first project of its kind within the country to serve sports and athletes. A network of medical excellence that includes 49 centers in the world, and provides medical services to athletes, according to the latest operational and scientific standards that are developed and updated by the International Federation Medical Committee.

The new headquarters was inaugurated by the Director General of the Health Authority in Dubai, Awad Al Ketbi, in the presence of the Director General of Dubai Municipality, Eng.

On the sidelines of the opening, the Football Medicine Forum was held, with the participation of the Director of the Medical Department of the International Federation, Dr. Andy Massi, Dr. Gurcharan Singh, Chairman of the Medical Committee of the AFC, and the Chairman of the Medical Committee of the UAE Football Association, Dr. Mustafa Al Hashemi.

In a press statement, Al-Ketbi praised the efforts being made to host the largest medical facilities with specifications that conform to the standards that provide the best health services for athletes, and contribute to the advancement of sports medicine, stressing that the center provides high-end medical services according to the best standards, in addition to holding courses and forums that benefit the people of specialization, and contribute to the development of sports medicine in the country.

The new headquarters contains treatment, rehabilitation and recovery facilities, two outdoor playgrounds made of natural and artificial grass, a swimming pool (25 meters), and recovery facilities for cold water and steam treatment, and it has been supported by modern medical treatment equipment.

He owns the latest medical devices that conform to FIFA specifications, and the unit for measuring and developing physical and mental performance indicators that international clubs rely on to conduct medical examinations for contracting with international players.

Al-Qamzi said in a press statement: “We are satisfied to move forward with the implementation of our strategic plan to upgrade the center in line with our goals in providing the finest medical services to athletes from inside and outside the country, and to increase global radiation within the Dubai plan for medical tourism, and in a way that supports Dubai’s position as a preferred destination for sports stars in the world.” .

For his part, the director of the center, Dr. Murad Al-Gharairi, confirmed that the center had obtained the accreditation certificate from the Asian Federation, in addition to being accredited by the International Federation, indicating that this enhances the position of the center, and Dubai's position as a pioneering tourist treatment destination in these areas. And in attracting international stars for treatment and hospitalization.
