Spanish attacking midfielder Pablo Sarabia has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with English club Wolverhampton from Paris Saint-Germain, Wolves announced on Tuesday.

The Spanish winger leaves the Parisian club after three and a half years of contract.

Arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019, Pablo Sarabia (30) left the Parisian club three and a half years later.

The Spanish winger, loaned in particular to Sporting CP during the 2021-2022 season, has signed up for two and a half years with the English club Wolverhampton, 16th in the Premier League.

The transfer is estimated at 5 million euros, excluding bonuses.

Trained at Real Madrid, Sarabia (30) captained Spain, European Under-19 champions in 2011 under Julen Lopetegui, currently coach of the Midlands team.

He went through Getafe then Seville where, for three years, he exceeded the bar of ten goals and ten assists per season, which opened the doors to the Spanish team (26 caps).

He was also in the Spanish group at the last World Cup in Qatar, where Spain was stopped in the round of 16 by Morocco on penalties.

Transferred in 2019 to PSG, he won eight trophies there, even though he was loaned last season to Sporting Portugal where he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists.

Wolverhampton is engaged in the fight to maintain (16th) and managed to extricate itself last weekend from the red zone by beating West Ham (1-0).
