Noel Le Graet, 81, has been accused of sexual harassment and less than a week ago he resigned from his role as chairman.
Vice Chairman Philippe Diallo then took over.
An investigation has now been launched against Le Graet, who has held the post since 2011.
The chairman has previously denied the allegations and has not yet commented on the investigation.

Le Graet has also been criticized for speaking disrespectfully about the legendary Zinedine Zidane who was rumored to be the current coach of Brazil's national team.

Then the current big star Kylian Mbappé reacted.
“Zidane IS France.
You don't show disrespect to a legend like him," he wrote on Twitter.
