Russia was not included in the list for broadcasting the Olympic Games until 2032

Discovery sent a joint application for the acquisition of all media rights to broadcast the Winter Olympics 2026 and Olympics 2030 and the Summer Games 2028 and 2032, as well as the Youth Olympic Games in 49 European territories, however, Russia and Belarus were not included in the list of countries for broadcasting.

The head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, proposed to allow Russian athletes to participate in international competitions under a neutral flag if they distance themselves from the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Russian and Belarusian tennis players are designated in the Australian Open grid with the abbreviations of the respective countries, despite the sanctions.
