“After reading the reasoning part of the decision of the disciplinary committee in this case, RUSADA will consider the possibility of appealing it.

We expect to receive the full text of the decision in the near future and without any delay," RUSADA Director General Veronika Loginova was quoted by TASS.

At the same time, she made it clear that RUSADA has not yet received the full text of the decision of the disciplinary anti-doping committee.

“We will conduct a legal assessment of the justification for the decision made by the committee,” Loginova added.

On January 13, the RUSADA Disciplinary Committee decided not to punish Valieva.

After the victory of the Russian team in the team tournament of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, it became known that a doping test of a 16-year-old Russian woman dated December 25, 2021 tested positive for trimetazidine.

Earlier it was reported that WADA may apply to CAS upon the decision of the RUSADA disciplinary committee to acquit Valieva in the doping case.
