Växjö impressed again when they defeated Frölunda 2-0 on home ice.

Frölunda's offensive star Ryan Lasch did something unusual for him when he made a hard tackle on Växjö's Martin Lundberg, who was forced to leave the game for a while.

The 35-year-old American received a two-minute suspension for boarding and he was not happy after the match.

- I get tackles like that more or less every game without getting sent off.

It's funny, I was talking to Lundberg and he just didn't see me coming.

But that's what happens.

It's unfortunate, because such a verdict changes the match, he says and continues:

- I think it's a clean tackle and my shoulder is held down.

You have to know the tackle is coming.

He weighs 85 kilos and I weigh like 70.

After Lasch's expulsion, the German Tobias Rieder scored 1-0 for Växjö.

- To be honest, I think it's a tough verdict.

Especially as I'm on the receiving end of situations like that in every game.

It's tough for us and it changes the game.

They get a goal right after that, says Lach.

Lasch has had a weak season by his standards in terms of points.

He has been recorded for three goals and 15 assists in 32 games.

Frölunda is third in the SHL and Växjö leads.
