We knew that Florence Hardouin had suffered from discomfort on Wednesday afternoon, after learning that she was being laid off as a precaution by decision of the executive committee of the French Football Federation (FFF).

L'Equipe

clarified early Thursday evening that the director general of the FFF, hospitalized in intensive care, had suffered a heart attack.

According to the sports daily, his doctors indicated that the decision of the Comex was directly responsible for this heart attack.

Hardouin (56 years old on January 26) knew that such a sanction could fall.

In a long-standing war with Noël Le Graët, she knew that the president of the FFF would seek to oust her.

Relations between the two leaders had deteriorated further recently, and on Monday, during a steering committee, Hardouin had severely criticized Le Graët's comments on Zidane made the day before on RMC.

The Comex also decided on Wednesday to withdraw the president of the FFF, vice-president Philippe Diallo being in charge of the interim.
