In early October 2022, Djurgården suspended a player who belonged to the club's men's team.

This when he was arrested in his absence, suspected of rape.

He was requested to be remanded in custody and in November a trial was held where the player was suspected of three charges.

It concerned rape, offensive photography and minor drug offences.

The man denied the first two crimes, but admitted the possession of narcotics, which he said he had received from a friend to counteract sleep problems.

The player was convicted of minor drug offences, but acquitted of the other two charges.

The player has since been out of Djurgården's operations and the club now announces that the parties have agreed to terminate the contract.

"We have no further comments," the club wrote in a short statement.
