Ebba Hedqvist and Mira Hallin started their careers in Svedjeholmens IF and have been in the same team since the age of five or six.

Today they are in the same class and then last year played in Modo's SDHL team.

In addition to playing together in their clubs, they have also played TV puck and the Youth Olympics together.

- Mira means a lot.

I can always talk to her before and after practice and at school.

We keep up with each other a lot now that we're in the same class and play on the same team, says Ebba.

Mira:

- I almost see Ebba more than my family.

It's almost like you're too comfortable with each other...

Made success in the TV puck

Last year, the duo made a success of the TV puck.

In the qualifiers, Mira Hallin accounted for an incredible 41 points in five games, which was the all-time scoring record.

Second in the points league was Ebba Hedqvist.

Hallin then won the points league overall and Hedqvist finished third after Ångermanland lost the bronze medal match against Stockholm.

The coach at the time, Björn Edlund, was not surprised and said then "as soon as they get to play together, it sparkles".

Today, the duo smiles at those words.

- I often know where Mira is, there is some chemistry there, says Ebba Hedqvist.

Mira:

- We have played together for so long.

We find each other in different situations and can solve things well.

Ebba doesn't have to call me for me to know where she is, but I often look up and I almost always see her.

"Easy to play with"

How is Ebba as a player?

- She is very easy to play with, finds many solutions, moves on the court in a very good way.

And Mira, Ebba?

- She skates a lot and you always know where you have her, if it's a forecheck, she's always there first and presses, good shot.

Ebba Hedqvist was already in the last JVM.

She believes that this year's edition will have greater success than the previous one, when Sweden finished fourth.

- We have many who can score the goals and have a good group.

We had that then too, but I still think we can get higher.

Sweden meets Slovakia in the quarter-finals at 16.00.

The match is broadcast on SVT.
