His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, received the Organizing Committee of the Zayed Charity Marathon and partners, led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region.
During the meeting, which took place at the Qasr Al-Bahr Council in Abu Dhabi, His Highness welcomed the delegation, praising the efforts made by the organizing committee and the role of the supporting partners for the success of the Zayed Charity Marathon in all its sessions, and the realization of its humanitarian mission aimed at supporting charitable and humanitarian institutions, and enabling them to provide their services to society, within the framework of The interest that the state attaches to humanitarian work, and the consolidation of the approach of the founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in spreading the values of benevolence and giving.
For its part, the delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation for the support provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the marathon activities, which contributes to the continuation of its success and excellence year after year.
It is noteworthy that the Zayed Charity Marathon is held annually in three editions in Abu Dhabi, New York and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The first edition of the marathon was launched in Abu Dhabi in 2001, and the proceeds are allocated for the benefit of health projects and charitable institutions that provide services to people for free.
