Karim Benzema scored for Real Madrid (39 from a penalty kick), before Samuel Lino equalized for Valencia (46).
Neither of the two teams succeeded in deciding the match in his favor during extra time to rule on penalty kicks, which eventually smiled in favor of Real Madrid.
Real participates in the Spanish Super Cup as a champion of the local league last season, while the "bats" team plays after coming second in the King's Cup in the same season.
Real Madrid set a date in the final match, which will be held next Sunday, with the winner of the other semi-final meeting between Barcelona, runners-up in the league last season, and Real Betis, winner of the King’s Cup in the same season.
