There were strange scenes that unfolded on the shooting range in Pokljuka this weekend.

Belgium's Thierry Langer had major problems with the rifle and suddenly turned the barrel straight to his face.

- That is absolutely life-threatening, exclaimed SVT Sports expert Björn Ferry during the sequence.

Due to the incident, all national team coaches were therefore called to a meeting with the International Biathlon Federation during the day.

- Safety is the most important thing for everyone and it is easy to forget that you have a weapon on your back.

We will remind them today and go through the most important rules.

Then we'll see if the IBU will introduce tougher rules in the future, says Johannes Lukas to SVT Sport.

"Think he got enough scolding"

What did you think when you saw the pictures this weekend?

- I don't want to comment too much on another active.

I think he has taken enough abuse already.

These are not pictures we want to see and he is not handling the situation correctly, he says and continues:

- At the same time, it is a competitive moment.

He's sure to get an adrenaline rush.

He loses his head somehow, but that must not happen.

We really have to be careful about security.
