Carlos Sainz in nasty crash: "It was sad to see"

Mattias Ekström's team mate Carlos Sainz was involved in a nasty crash in the rally.

The Spaniard, who is the father of Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz, flipped forward when he went over a sand dune.

- It was sad to see Carlos crash.

We stopped and checked the situation, says Mattias Ekström.

Mattias Ekström and Emil Bergkvist finished fourth in today's stage.

The duo have had a troubled rally and are 27th overall, just over seven hours behind leader Nasser Al Attiyah of Qatar.
