Scaloni and his players succeeded in overcoming the loss suffered by "Tango" in the first match of the Qatar World Cup 2022, which came against Saudi Arabia 1-2 at Lusail Stadium.
After that, the Argentine national team defeated Mexico and Poland in the second and third rounds of the first round, to top the Group C standings.
Under the leadership of Scaloni, the Argentine national team managed to overcome the hurdle of Australia in the final price, then the Netherlands with a penalty shootout in the quarter-finals, followed by a great victory over Croatia in the semi-finals with three clean goals, and finally the exciting victory over France with a penalty shootout in the final.
Scaloni took over the task of coaching the Argentine national team on August 2, 2018, in a temporary deal, before the local federation decided to install him officially.
Since that time, Scaloni has led Argentina to break the Copa America knot by winning the championship in the summer of 2021, after losing in the semi-finals of the same tournament against Brazil in 2019.
Scaloni then crowned the European Latin Super Championship, known as “Vinalissima”, by defeating Italy at Wembley Stadium in the summer of 2022, before ending the same year by winning the World Cup.
