And that kick brought to mind the goal scored by Mahrez in the same way against Nigeria in the semi-finals of the 2019 African Nations Cup that was held in Egypt, and the “Desert Warriors” were crowned with its title, after defeating Senegal in the final match.

Argentine Julian Alvarez added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 30th minute, before Phil Foden added the third goal after an organized attack in which Mahrez contributed.

In the second half, Manchester City continued its absolute advantage, so Riyad Mahrez added the fourth goal from a second penalty kick in the 85th minute.

Mahrez raised his goal tally against Chelsea since the start of the season to 4, as he first scored the London team last November with a goal during the League Cup competitions.

The Algerian star also scored the winning goal for “Citizens” against “The Blues” in the two teams’ match last Thursday in the 19th round of the English Premier League.

In general, the Algerian captain scored 6 goals for Manchester City in all competitions during 21 games, and he also provided two assists, knowing that he does not participate in the starting line-up on a regular basis.

It is noteworthy that the draw for the fourth round of the FA Cup, which took place before the Manchester City and Chelsea match, pitted the winner (City) against the winner of the Arsenal and Oxford match that will take place tomorrow, Monday.
