Mikaela Shiffrin took another clear victory in Kranjska Gora, 77 hundredths ahead of runner-up Federica Brignone, after setting the fastest time in both heats.

The World Cup victory was her 82nd in a row, and thus she touched compatriot Lindsey Vonn's record for the number of victories on the women's side.

The overall record is held by Ingemar Stenmark with his 86, but as it looks now, it is only a matter of time before the 27-year-old catches up and passes.

For Sara Hector, it was worse.

The 30-year-old started the season with two podiums, but since then things have gone downhill, in a double sense.

Outbreaks have been interspersed with mediocre placements.

In today's giant slalom competition in Slovenian Kranjska Gora, she once again had a decent starting position after the first run, a sixth place, 85 hundredths from the leading American Mikaela Shiffrin and 46 hundredths from the podium, but she did not get it to flow one hundred percent in the second run and ended in eighth place, nearly two seconds behind Shiffrin.
