Frida Karlsson finished second in yesterday's mass start and extended her overall lead in the Tour de Ski to 1.12 ahead of Norwegian Tiril Udnes Weng.

Finland's Krista Pärmäkoski, who was third before Saturday, is sick and instead compatriot Kerttu Niskanen is now in third place, 1.37 behind.

The tour concludes today with a mass start up the mythical Alpe Cermis.

- It feels like she can have a bad day and still win, says Mathias Fredriksson about the Swede's starting position.

"Oceans of Time"

The fact is that Frida Karlsson has never completed a tour before - so today's climb will be her first up the slalom hill in Val di Fiemme.

Who is the best climber?

- I think Frida is.

She has a very big lead, so if anyone is going to challenge - but it's far too far - it's Kerttu Niskanen, she's third, says Fredriksson.

- But there are oceans of time, so only Frida herself can prevent her

from

winning.

She can afford a couple of typos, and quite a lot of fuss.

It feels very safe.

Halfvarsson overall second

Calle Halfvarsson, who rode unevenly in the Tour de Ski several times, came fifth in yesterday's mass start and is second before the decision.

- Very good.

Now he has removed the "downs" and stayed up there and been very stable.

It will be tough for him, but I think he has a good chance of a podium finish.

The 33-year-old, who was third overall in the 2015 Tour de Ski, is 1.02 behind leader Johannes Hösflot Kläbo, Norway.

Pål Golberg is 12 seconds behind Halfvarsson.

- There are many people about the bid, but with his stability, I absolutely believe that he will join and fight for it, says Fredriksson.
