Calle Halfvarsson has a podium place in the Tour de Ski from before and had the feeling of a new triumph as overall second before the decision.

But in the last stage he lost everything.

The climb up Alpe Cermis was leaden and the Swede gradually lost a lot of time and many positions.

Simen Hegstad Krüger won the stage, but he did not catch up with the leader Johannes Höstflot Kläbo who secured the overall victory after a sixth place, 45 seconds behind Krüger.

William Poromaa became the best Swede in the stage when he crossed the finish line in twelfth place, 1.14 behind the winner.

Halfvarsson finished 22nd, which means sixth place overall.

Kläbo won the Tour de Ski with a margin of 59.5 seconds to runner-up Krüger and 1.21 to Hans Christer Holund, who finished third.

This means that there was an all-Norwegian podium on the men's side in the Tour de Ski.
