Charlotte Kalla has climbed Alpe Cermis herself on several occasions and knows the effort required.

When she saw the pictures of Frida Karlsson's collapse in the goal trap, she felt worried.

- Unpleasant.

I've seen Frida myself when I've been to a competition, when she's gone all out.

It is something exceptional to compete as intensely as you do and it is probably a lot of will for Frida to do this one day, says Kallr and continues:

- I'm just crossing my fingers that she's doing well and she has good staff and people around her, I can imagine.

Kalla himself won the Tour de Ski in 2008 and since then the Swedish successes on the popular tour have been conspicuous by their absence.

- This is really long-awaited.

I am so very very happy for Frida, that she is taking another step in her career and winning the Tour de Ski, that is great, says Kalla.
