A knee injury has meant that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not yet played this season.

But now he is approaching a comeback.

Today, the Swedish national team captain Janne Andersson spoke with the 41-year-old about a possible return to the national team as well.

The first collection that may be relevant is the European Championship qualifying matches in March.

- It is important for Zlatan to get healthy first.

That's what they're about.

And if he is, we have to take it from there, says Andersson.

You are in contact, when was the last time you spoke?

- It was actually half an hour ago, but it was the first time in a long time.

We have contact and it's nothing strange, we have great contact.

Do you see him as part of the national team if he is injury free?

- A whole and healthy Zlatan, if he gets there, who starts playing in Milan and performs.

Then it is clear that he is definitely relevant for us.

The impressions he made on the group and the way he contributed have been fantastic for me.

The last time Ibrahimovic was in the national team was in March 2022.
