FC Barcelona got very scared on Wednesday night in the round of 16 of the King's Cup.
Opposed to a third division team, CF Intercity, Barça needed extra time to qualify after a crazy match (4-3), including a goal from Ousmane Dembélé.
Family of socios
The story could have been magnificent for the small club based in Alicante, and especially for its young midfielder Oriol Soldevila.
The latter, author of an incredible hat-trick, almost single-handedly eliminated the club for which he and his family have always loved.
Spent for two seasons at the training center of La Masia between 2018 and 2020, Soldevila, born in Barcelona, is indeed a socio of the Catalan club, as the
Mundo Deportivo
tells .
“I am a socio, my father is a socio, my uncle is a socio.
We are all socios in the family, said the player after the match.
It was a very special meeting for all of us.
“He did not come close to family drama with this hat-trick, he laughed afterwards.
“We are Culés, but my father is above all fully behind me,” he assured.
🔴🔵 "Somos una familia muy culer, pero mi padre hoy iba a muerte conmigo. Soy socio del Barça, toda la familia lo es y era un partido muy especial para todos"

Oriol Soldevila will remember this evening for a long time.
The former Birmingham midfielder, where he did not break through, left with the Arnau Tenas jersey, substitute goalkeeper for Barça whom he knew at La Masia and his "best friend in football".
