18-year-old Filip Bystedt has received a lot of trust from national team captain Magnus Hävelid during the JVM tournament and responded by scoring seven points in four games, which is the most in the team together with defender Ludvig Jansson.

When Sweden met the Czech Republic in the group stage, the Junior crowns won 3–2 after extra time.

Despite this, the Czech Republic won the group.

- The Czech Republic is a really good team, but so are we, says Bystedt.

How much better are you today than the last meeting with the Czech Republic?

- Better, we have come together as a group and sharpened our game.

"Must hit a little"

A weakness for Sweden has been the weak performances in the beginning of the matches.

In the final group stage match against Canada, it took less than a minute for Canada to make it 1–0.

Against Finland in the quarter-finals, Carl Lindbom let a puck pass him after three minutes.

It is something that has been worked on and talked about a lot before the semi-finals.

- We have honed in on details in the defensive zone, how we position ourselves and also in the forecheck.

We have talked about the first period that we have to be better there, get up to speed and hit a bit.
