Ebba Andersson planned to run the Scandinavian Cup in Finnish Rovaniemi this weekend, but the competition was canceled as a weather forecast of -27 degrees awaits this weekend.

At the same time, the organizers of the Tour de Ski are struggling with "Mallorca heat", where 16 plus degrees were measured on Monday.

Now Ebba Andersson believes that it is not sustainable with the weather differences.

- What is perhaps above all a bit problematic is how challenging it is for various organizers to get competitions to take place.

Like, for example, now in Oberstdorf, they really seem to have had to fight and toil to even get competitive courses, she says.

- Should you really put competitions in places where it is so challenging to even get courses to compete on?

You may have to see where the conditions are best, and place the competitions in those locations.

Andersson believes that the large weather differences are nothing new, and therefore should not overwhelm Fis.

- It is not the first year that it can be such cold temperatures up in northern Finland and such hot temperatures in Europe.

We all remember the WC in Oberstdorf 2021, so you get a bit of flashbacks now when you follow the competitions from there.

After all, there have been similar cases where it was very cold at this particular time in Finland, says Andersson.
