It was at the beginning of December that the Slovenian Anamarija Lampic impressed in her World Cup debut in biathlon.

In Hochfilzen, the 27-year-old shot fully in the horizontal position and ended up in fifth place.

After the debut, Lampic was overjoyed.

- It's crazy.

I just enjoyed and am super happy, she said then.

Now Lampic gets another chance to show off - at home.

She has now been selected for the World Cup competition in Pokljuka in Slovenia, starting on Thursday.

Changed sports this summer

- For the first time, we will be able to welcome Anamarija Lampic in a biathlon competition on home ground, says competition base Tim Farcnik according to Slovenian news site Sio1.net.

Lampic is relatively inexperienced when it comes to biathlon.

As recently as last summer, she switched from cross country to biathlon, and she has previously said that she was inspired by, among others, Stina Nilsson.
