Martina Navratilova announced on Monday that she has double cancer of the throat and breast against which she is preparing to "fight with everything" she has, according to the WTA website.

"This double blow is serious but still reversible", announces the 66-year-old former player, quoted by the WTA.

"I hope for a favorable outcome. It will stink for a while, but I will fight with everything I have", assures the former world No.1 with 59 Grand Slam titles (singles, doubles and mixed doubles combined), who had already overcome breast cancer which appeared in 2010.
