He is back.

We will wait a few more weeks before knowing if the angel has flown away, but, in any case, Dejan Lovren is back to get OL off the ground.

Almost ten years after his departure from Lyon, the Croatian international defender signed up on Monday with Les Gones until 2025. He had been playing for two and a half years at the Zénith Saint-Petersburg, in Russia.

With this arrival of Dejan Lovren (33 years old), Laurent Blanc will be able to consolidate a very permeable defense and bring experience to a very young rear guard, led by Castello Lukeba (20 years old) and Malo Gusto (19 years old), struggling since the start of the season.

“I am very happy to return to Olympique Lyonnais, commented the Croatian, in a press release published by OL.

It was the club that opened the doors of international football to me, I will never forget that.

I have many memories here, many links too, especially with President Jean Michel Aulas who has always supported me.

I left Lyon in 2013 with regrets, because I had the feeling that I hadn't shown everything.

I want to prove to everyone what a player I really am.
