A 50th place in the Tour de Ski prologue followed by a 35th place in today's chase start.

Emil Iversen, 31, has had a tough season so far and now admits he is thinking about whether his career is over.

- There is a lot that is not right and there are deep valleys.

Earlier in the career, it hasn't changed much.

It has been fun skiing.

Suddenly I'm not just bad - it's much worse than bad, says Iversen.

The Norwegian has previously joked about quitting, but now it seems to be serious.

- I have no problem with doing bad races, but I finished 50th in the prologue.

It's not just a bad day, it's just completely black.

It's hard when I don't have any answers.

Iversen will start in the WC in Planica where he is qualified as reigning world champion in 50 kilometer classic style.

But it is uncertain if he will get the chance at any other distance.

The question now is whether there will be a continuation.

- I want to do a lot in life.

I don't want to cross-country ski when it's like it is now, he tells the Norwegian TV channel.

Emil Iversen has not won a competition in the World Cup for almost two years.
