Gremio, the Brazilian football club, announced today, Saturday, the signing of Uruguay striker Luis Suarez, on a free transfer, on a two-year contract.

Gremio will start the new year by facing Sao Luiz in the Super Cup on January 17.

It is noteworthy that Luis Suarez's career began with the ancient Nacional team in his country, before his professional journey from the Dutch League began at the Groningen club gate in 2005, before moving to Ajax Amsterdam, then Liverpool, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, and then returning to Nacional.
