Pyramids collide with Al-Ahly of Egypt and demand respect for league regulations

The Egyptian Pyramids Football Club expressed its great surprise at the announcement of the transfer of the team’s next league match against Al-Ahly, which is scheduled to be held next Monday, in the eleventh round of the competition, to be held at Cairo International Stadium instead of the predetermined stadium, Al-Salam Stadium.

And Pyramids stated in an official statement today, Saturday, through its media center, that it was surprised that the match was broadcast a few days before the match, which contradicts the club association’s regulations that were announced clearly and explicitly.

He added: «According to the regulations of the League of Clubs, specifically Article 65 related to match stadiums, it is permissible to change the match stadium based on the desire of either party, but on condition that this be through an official request submitted to the Competitions Department and fourteen days before the match from the date of the meeting required to amend the private stadium. With it, which is the clear and explicit clause in the regulation, and it was overlooked and it was announced that the meeting stadium had been modified less than 3 days before that confrontation was held, which we see as unnatural.

And he explained: “The Pyramids Club expresses its complete astonishment at the modification of the meeting stadium in violation of the regulations, even without referring to the Pyramids Club, the second party in the match, which was surprised by the decision to amend without consulting it as an original party in the match.”

And he continued: «Apart from the decision to change the stadium for the match, adjusting the stadium or keeping it as it is will not change anything for the Pyramids club, who plays the match outside its stadium, and who is preparing for that confrontation with full strength and focus, and has great determination to achieve victory and continue to compete for the league title. ».

The club indicated that in the end it would not file an official protest against the decision, but rather that it finds itself compelled to accept the decision to change the stadium out of respect for the good relations it has with Al-Ahly club and its board of directors and their desire to change the stadium for the meeting, which is the relationship in which Pyramids seeks to prevail in which brotherhood and mutual respect prevail. Like his relationship with all Egyptian clubs.

He added, “In the end, the Pyramids Club wishes that respect for the regulations issued by the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association prior to the start of the season be the rule, from which all parties to the system do not deviate, and that the exception be in cases of extreme necessity.

Dealing and managing the league championship, and that dealing reciprocate and without difference prevails in the way of managing the local competition, and without preference for one team at the expense of the other, and that justice is the prevailing element in dealing between all clubs.

It is noteworthy that Pyramids ranks fourth with 20 points, while Al-Ahly ranks second with 24 points.
