Ronaldo signs for Saudi "Al-Nasr" until 2025

Al-Arabiya TV channel reported today, Friday, that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nasr, the competitor in the Saudi Professional Football League, for two years, after terminating his contract with Manchester United last month.

The channel said, quoting its sources, that Al-Nasr signed a contract with the former Real Madrid player until 2025, without providing further details.

The Saudi newspaper, Al-Riyadiah, reported the news via Twitter.

"Al-Nasr officially signs with Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo for two and a half seasons," the newspaper said.

And the Spanish newspaper (Marca) had reported yesterday, Thursday, that victory awaits Ronaldo’s arrival and the completion of the contract on the first day of 2023, to continue his huge project by including other bright stars, such as his former colleague at Real, Sergio Ramos.

The Madrid-based newspaper added that Al-Nasr officials are trying to persuade Ramos, 36, to join the team next summer, after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires on June 30.

And Manchester United announced the termination of his contract by mutual consent with Ronaldo last month, after the Portugal captain said in a television interview that he felt betrayed by the club and that he did not respect coach Eric Ten Hag, to end his second period with the club that he joined in August 2021 after winning eight major titles. During the period from 2003 to 2009.
