But the talk of the town before the match was, apart from Leksand's poor form with three straight losses, the Dala team's deplorable power play.

Before the first relegation, Leksand had only 28 percent in power play away from home and zero (!) percent at home.

Leksand coach Björn Hellkvist said in C More that it has become a mental challenge:

- Somewhere it is mentally because we can score goals in the power play away from home but not at home.

We get to drive the bus around (before the home games) and then drop them off.

Against Linköping, Leksand had four games in numerical superiority.

The Masarna did a lot right and created several chances, but there were no goals.

Comic goal

That's why it was a bit comical when Leksand's Emil Heineman made it 2-1 just ten seconds after Linköping had gone full after their third box play.

Extra fun for Heineman, who is supposed to be a prolific scorer, but has scored just two goals since returning from trying to earn a spot with the Montreal Canadiens.

- It was really nice that we got a lead after the first period.

Before we had a couple of good power plays and it would have been nice to have broken the power play streak at home, said Emil Heineman in C More.

Leksand finished the first period best and Linköping was in the bridge when Lucas Elvenes scored 3–1 at the beginning of the second period.

A cold shower

Leksand then lined up chances.

Therefore, it was a cold shower for the valleymen when Linköping's Vilmos Gallo struck and scored two counter goals.

But in C More, after the second period, Vilmos Gallo was very disappointed with his team:

- It is far too bad on our part.

We let too many chances go.

It swings here and there.

It shouldn't be like that.

We must hold onto the puck and make good judgments.

The disappointment was because Leksand continued to drive over Linköping after Gallo's two goals and when Justin Kloos scored 4–3 it was a mental kick for Leksand.

After 15.36 in the last period, the match was decided when Jon Knuts scored 5–3.

One point about that goal was that the goal came just a second after Leksand had the opportunity to play a fifth power play.

But the Leksand goalkeeper Mantas Armalis never had time to leave the goal to create an extra outfield player, and with that the strange power play statistics remain for Leksand.

Disappointment in Linköping

Linköping's coach, Klas Östman, was very disappointed in C More:

- It was not a highlight.

For 60 minutes we were really bad both with and without the puck.

He didn't want to explain more what went wrong:

- It will be a long explanation where I would ramble on about everything.
