"In France, they play a bit the same style as in Brazil"

The "King" Pelé was dithyrambic on French football.

"I appreciate French football because I find that in France, they play a bit the same style as we play in Brazil. They are more technical than physical", detailed the Brazilian legend.

Pelé admitted that he was going to follow the course of the Blues at Euro 1996 with great interest: "I hope that France will have a good European Cup in England so that they can prepare well for the World Cup afterwards".

Words that reason since in 1996, the French team of Aimé Jacquet reached the semi-final of the European championship, two years before winning their first world title, in France, in 1998.
