The international break will not have benefited AS Saint-Étienne.

On Monday, the Greens lost to Annecy (2-1) when they returned to Ligue 2 pitches. With this new defeat, the Saint-Etienne club remains dead last in the championship and now sees the third division.

Nothing is going well with the Greens.

AS Saint-Étienne returned to Ligue 2 on Monday after the truce due to the World Cup in Qatar.

A complicated comeback since it ended in another defeat against Annecy (2-1).

After this disappointment, the crisis is deep for the Saint-Etienne club which remains dead last in the championship.

After their relegation to the second division last season, the Greens continue to sink and now see the third division.

A call from supporters for a total boycott

"Unfortunately, Santa Claus did not come to Saint-Étienne, that's clear. Yesterday's (Monday) defeat reveals the unease that has existed for many seasons. It's catastrophic, there's monumental errors in the game. The players do not seem concerned", deplores Jean-Guy Riou, president of the USS, one of the groups of supporters of AS Saint-Étienne, at the microphone of Europe 1. " We had a truce of more than a month with the World Cup where normally it should have made it possible to put the heads back in place and this is not the case. So it is very complicated", underlines t- -he.

Four groups of supporters, and this is historic on their part, are even calling for a total boycott of the next home match next Friday against Caen.

Above all, they hope that the club, promised for sale for years, will find a buyer capable of injecting fresh money and instilling a new dynamic.
