Olympic gold medalist in giant slalom Sara Hector chatted with SVT's readers on Sunday and there was great interest.

Among other things, the fact that Sweden now has three female skiers who are threatening in the slalom's top 10 was discussed.

- Yes, we are a really nice bunch.

Of course, it's always fun if I can inspire someone, it makes me happy, writes Hector.

The season has started well for Hector who is second in the giant slalom cup with 140 points, 40 behind leader Marta Bassino from Italy.

- The form has been good at the beginning of the season, so now I hope it continues to be so.

I try to take each day, set a goal and give the iron to reach it.

The tip for young girls: "Most important"

When asked what advice she has for young girls practicing slalom, Hector replies:

- I think the most important thing is that you have a lot of fun on the slopes, make sure you ski because it brings joy and remember that.

Then, of course, results will also be required to be able to work with it, then I am convinced that it requires good discipline and a focus to continue developing every day.

The most important thing is that you yourself are driven to develop, because then you also find ways to do it, she writes.

The World Cup debut came back in 2009 at the age of 17, but the now 30-year-old Hector has no plans to retire.

- A few more years, I think the body should hold together.
