French Zinedine Zidane tops the list of candidates to lead the Brazil national team, succeeding local coach Tite, who left the post after the "samba" was excluded from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

And the French newspaper "L'Equipe" stated that Zidane meets all the conditions that the Brazilian Federation wants for this task.

The Brazilian Confederation set its sights on Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, but the second confirmed his desire to continue his work with the "Merengue", and is not considering any other job.

Zidane is a candidate to lead the Brazil national team

And the French newspaper stated that Zidane fulfills all the requirements of the Brazilians, which is that he is a foreign coach, and is not affiliated with any club or national team currently, and he has a clear sports project.

But that depends on the decision that will be taken by the coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, whether he will remain in his position, or leave him.

In the event of Deschamps' resignation, the first candidate to coach the "roosters" is Zidane, a job that "Zizou" has been seeking for a long time.

And "L'Equipe" confirmed that the Brazilian Federation had put other alternatives to Zidane, including surprising options, such as the Argentines: Marcelo Gallardo and Mauricio Pochettino, the German Thomas Tuchel, and the Spaniards: Roberto Martinez and Rafa Benitez.

But Zidane is the first choice for the Brazilian Federation, which also enjoys direct support from the legend Ronaldo Nazario, who previously played with him at Real Madrid.

Zidane's choice is also supported by many current stars, as he previously worked with Vinicius Junior, Eder Militao and Casemiro, during the period he coached Real Madrid.

Zidane's coaching career

And Zidane began his work in the field of training, as an assistant to Ancelotti at Real Madrid in 2013, and contributed from his place to crowning “Al-Merengue” with the Champions League title for the tenth time in its history.

After that, Zidane led the youth team at Real Madrid on August 26, 2014, and continued in his position until January 4, 2016, and on that day he became the coach of the first team in Madrid, and succeeded in leading the "Merengue" to crown the Champions League title.

Zidane added two more titles in the Champions League, becoming the first coach in the history of the old continent to win the championship three times in a row. He also won the Club World Cup twice, and the same in the European Super Cup, and the Spanish League once, and the same in the Spanish Super.

Then Zidane decided to leave Real Madrid, specifically on May 31, 2018, a few days after winning the Champions League at the expense of Liverpool, but he returned again to train the team months after his departure, specifically on March 11, 2019.

In the second era, “Zizou” settled for a single title in the Spanish League, and the same in the Spanish Super Cup as well, before he left again at the end of the 2020-2021 season after a zero season.

Zidane resigned from the “Meringue” coach on June 30, 2021, after failing to win any title during the 2020-2021 season, and despite the fact that a third season remains in his contract;

The French coach has not supervised any team.
