The home team New York was in control for a long time and it was only in the fourth and final period that Philadelphia took the lead for the first time in the game.

But then they never let go.

While the Knicks missed most of the fourth period, Philadelphia showed class.

Suddenly the score was 116-102 and the visitors led by 14 points.

The home team then took a timeout while a smiling Joel Embiid looked up at the stands and triumphantly struck out with his arms in the air.

In addition to superstars Embiid and James Harden, Georges Niang stepped forward with his four three-pointers in the fourth period.

"Made important shots for us"

Embiid was the best in points with his 35 and also had eight rebounds, Harden had 29 points but also 13 assists.

- We play as a team and everyone does what they have to.

Then we were a bit sluggish at the beginning and not physical enough, it was the same in the last game and we have to be better from the start.

We know what needs to be done, says Embiid afterwards.

He also paid tribute to Georges Niang:

- Georges is a fantastic shooter and scored some important shots for us today.

He was focused.

New York had an impressive eight-game winning streak, but has now lost its last three.

While Philadelphia is racking up wins, star guard Tyrese Maxey is getting closer to a comeback.

Maxey has missed the last 16 games with a fractured foot.
