The Egyptian Basketball Association announced the cancellation of the Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria match in the Super Cup, after part of the runway in the Hassan Mostafa Hall in the Sixth of October City, which was crowded with the federation’s fans, fell, resulting in some injuries.
The meeting stopped at the end of the third quarter, and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria was ahead 67-45.
And local media reported that an iron fence collapsed on the fans, and two ambulances arrived for some injuries, and fans demanded that the match be canceled before a decision was made.
The Egyptian Basketball Federation did not provide any details about the injuries.
On the other hand, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that 27 fans were injured, in a preliminary toll, following the collapse of a runway in the Hassan Mustafa Hall during the Egyptian Super Cup basketball match between Al-Ittihad of Alexandria and Al-Ahly.
