The Orlando Magic around the German brother couple Franz and Moritz Wagner remain on course for success in the NBA.

On Friday (local time) the Magic defeated the Boston Celtics, currently the best team in the North American basketball league.

The 117:109 (62:54) away win gave the guests from Florida their fifth win in a row.

Moritz Wagner was the most successful player on his team with 25 points, the center hit nine of his twelve throws from the field and got eight rebounds.

His brother Franz Wagner had 19 points and four rebounds.

The Magic dominated in rebounds with 53:38 and pulled away by up to 19 points in the third quarter.

Lakers beat nuggets

Dennis Schröder and the Los Angeles Lakers won 126:108 (64:65) at home against the Denver Nuggets.

The German international scored 15 points.

LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points, while Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double with double digits in three statistical categories with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists.

Although the Lakers had to do without the injured Anthony Davis after the break, they pulled away in the fourth quarter thanks to a 33:20.

As twelfth in the Western Conference, the Lakers remain outside the playoff ranks.

Isaiah Hartenstein is now six straight games unbeaten with the New York Knicks.

The Knicks won 114-91 (58-53) at the Chicago Bulls.

Hartenstein scored three points and ten rebounds.

Maxi Kleber was unavailable for the Dallas Mavericks due to a hamstring injury in the 130-110 (72-63) home win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Kleber will probably have to pause for several weeks.

Luka Doncic scored 23 of his 33 points in the first half.

The Brooklyn Nets won 119-116 (52-62) over the Toronto Raptors thanks to Kyrie Irving.

Irving hit the game-winning three point with the final siren and gave the Nets their fifth win in a row.

Irving scored 15 of his 32 points in the final quarter alone.
