About 5 months were spent by the Moroccan traveler Ayoub Attoumi, traveling in his car from the Kingdom, passing through the continents of Africa, Europe and Asia until he reached Doha, in order to attend the FIFA World Cup "Qatar 2022".

The traveler set off from Rabat in mid-June, in order to support his country's national team, after he determined to go through his tour this time in a different way. He prepared a private car within 3 months, and began his journey that passed through 19 countries other than Morocco and Qatar.

At first, Atomi had a feeling that the matter was difficult and that this idea was crazy, but his desire to implement it exceeded this feeling, so during the period from April to June of last year, he prepared a private car with all the luxuries he needed for this long journey.

Old idea

And about his decision to go to support his country, Atomi explains that the idea was old, as he had already done it during the World Cup in Russia 4 years ago, when he crossed the continent of Europe by motorcycle from Paris to Moscow in order to support the "Atlas Lions".

Atomi says in a statement to Al-Jazeera Net, "It was a dream for me to prepare a car and go with it in order to watch Morocco in the World Cup in Qatar, and after the team qualified in late March, I immediately set about preparing a Mercedes Vito to take this adventure with it. To be a means of transportation during the day and a home during rest and at night.

For 5 months and a distance of more than 15,000 km, the Moroccan traveler recounts that he was not subjected to any harassment during his long journey from Morocco, passing through 19 European and Asian countries, until his arrival on November 20 in Qatar with the opening match of the World Cup.

19 countries

Atomi's (34-year-old) journey from Morocco to Qatar passed through Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia.

And about the most prominent positions on his trip, Atumi explains that the first period of the trip in Europe - which lasted two months - saw nothing but mountains, as he passed through a number of mountain ranges in Europe, including the Alps in Italy, as well as international parks in Croatia and Slovenia.

He added that the second period was cold, especially when entering Turkey, in which he spent about a month, where he was keen to visit a number of its cities, especially Istanbul, Konya and Trabzon, while moving away from the crowded areas, and then he entered Iran and stayed there for 3 weeks, and visited the most important its cities.

After leaving Iran, Atumi completed his journey through a number of Gulf Arab capitals before arriving in Qatar. He passed through Baghdad, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, and visited many important cities there.

With the exception of having to leave his car at the Abu Samra border crossing in accordance with the Qatari laws for preventing cars from entering, Atomi did not face any problem in Doha completely after he spent more than 3 weeks moving around in its various parts to support and assist his country throughout his World Cup career.

An exceptional World Cup

"I do not regret every meter I walked, and I am very happy to have taken this trip." These words were Atoumi's reaction to the brilliance of the Moroccan national team and its reaching the semi-finals as one of the 4 best teams in the world. In order to support and support the national team in this global forum, I found the reward in the end: a very great and unexpected joy.

The Moroccan traveler explains that - during the Qatar World Cup - he was keen to attend all the matches of his country's national team in full, despite the difficulty in finding tickets for the last matches, but the Moroccan Football Federation did a good job and provided tickets for the fans of the Kingdom.

Regarding the World Cup, Atomi considers that the Qatari organization of this global event is very special, especially since he attended the World Cup in Russia 4 years ago, and there is no comparison between the two versions at all, as Doha presented a wonderful and exceptional version, "and I think it is difficult to find a country that organizes the World Cup later, And it reaches this stage of competence in everything, I did not expect this impressive organization.
