Al Ain hits a date with victory in the cup semi-finals

Today, the Al Ain team, the defending champion, completed the finalists contract for the golden square of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Football Cup at the expense of its host Al Wahda, after its 1-1 draw in the second leg of the quarter-finals, benefiting from a negative draw in the first leg, so that the "leader" got the last ticket to qualify for the semi-finals To face Al-Nasr, who in turn qualified at the expense of Al-Dhafra, while Sharjah will face Al-Jazira.

Al-Wahda advanced in the match in the 25th minute, taking advantage of the mistake of Al-Ain goalkeeper Khaled Issa, who slipped the ball out of his hands while trying to catch it, and in return, the Brazilian "Al-Annabi" striker Joao Pedro got it, who put it in the net with ease.

The situation changed during the second half, in which the guests appeared in their true form, following the changes made by the coach to activate the front line, which resulted in Al Ain scoring the equalizer in the 72nd minute by Moroccan Sofiane Rahimi, who rose above everyone and turned the cross ball sent by his colleague Bandar Al Ahbabi into the net.

The first-leg matches will be held on April 20, while the return match will take place on May 2, while the final will be held on the 17th of the same month.
