Korean speed skating leader Kim Min-seon won three consecutive gold medals in the women's 500m World Cup.

She entered the first 36 invitations with an explosive spurt, taking one step closer to Lee Sang-hwa's world record.

Kim Min-seon, who turned her last corner at her top speed of 55.8 km/h, ran the 400m section in the fastest time of 26.5 and crossed the finish line in 36.972, beating Austria's Hairchoke by 0.289 seconds to claim the gold medal.



Beating her own record by 0.228 seconds, Kim Min-sun took her third World Cup gold medal in a row.



She broke the 500m world junior record held by senior Lee Sang-hwa in 2017, and Kim Min-seon, who emerged as a rising star, entered the 36th for the first time in her career, taking her one step closer to Lee Sang-hwa's world record.
