The latest information was that she was moved to a penal colony.

The case quickly reached the highest level, and US President Joe Biden has been personally involved in the affair, which was going on at the same time as the war in Ukraine.

Both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have spoken by phone with Griner and state that she is in good spirits, writes Reuters.

Now Griner is exchanged for the Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout.
