Anamarija Lampic, just like her predecessors Denise Herrmann-Wick and Stina Nilsson, has switched from cross-country skiing to biathlon ahead of this season.

In the debut of the sprint in Hochfilzen, the Slovenian went out hard and took a lead of just under 13 seconds before the first horizontal shooting.

Once there, she surprised everyone by shooting clean house.

- But look, what is happening?

She puts all five.

It's a sensational effort!

exclaims SVT's commentator Niklas Nord.

Lampic continued to gain steam in the track, but in the standing shooting, reality caught up with the sport's freshest participant: a total of three bars.

But thanks to the clearly fastest ride time, a full 27 seconds ahead of second fastest Elvira Öberg, the effort was enough for a fifth place.

In comparison to Stina Nilsson, Lampic was 1 minute and 23 seconds faster in total riding time.

- She is absolutely incredible.

Hats off to me, it's really impressive.

I knew she would ride well after what she did in Idre.

I know myself how difficult I find it.

But she has tackled it as well as possible, says Stina Nilsson, who had two misses today.

Elvira Öberg was the best Swede in fourth place.

Both she and Hanna Öberg had a beam in lying and a beam in standing.

For Hanna Öberg, who finished sixth, the bar came in standing in the last shot and was a snowy edge out.

- It's a bit crap on that last shot in the stand, it felt like I really had it.

But I think I almost had too much stillness and pushed off before I was inside the dot, I thought I would have more movement in my body, says Hann Öberg.
