The English fear the Blues and … Kylian Mbappé.

Three days before the quarter-final between France and England (to be experienced in full in Europe 1 Sport on Saturday from 7:15 p.m.), the British staff is looking for a strategy to contain the prodigy.

And it is the right side Kyle Walker who will be the direct opponent of the Parisian star.

How to stop the prodigy of the Blues Kylian Mbappé?

The English have only 72 hours left to respond to this problem in view of the quarter-final of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar against France.

The British newspaper

The Guardian

even revealed that the competition's provisional top scorer with five goals has sent shivers down the spine of the whole country, so England's staff are preparing a special tactic to stop him, including defender Kyle Walker.

Positioned on the left side since the start of the World Cup in Qatar, the Paris-SG striker will be Walker's direct opponent.

The latter expects a tough duel: "I've already played against him several times with Manchester City and he's a fantastic player, in great shape. It's not going to be easy but when you're pro, you want to play against the best and he is one of the best, if not the best as we speak."

"I'm not going to roll out the red carpet for him"

Speaking to

Europe 1 Sport

, the England defender, renowned for his top speed, said: "Who's the fastest? We'll see on Saturday and who knows, I hope it will be me...I know what I have to do to stop it, it's easier said than done, but I don't underestimate myself".

But for the Manchester City defender, a victory is not built with one man.

"I understand why we are focusing on that, but it's not England-Mbappé, it's England-France. He's a top player but we don't play tennis, it's a team sport. It will be a tough match, and I'm not going to roll out the red carpet for him to score," quipped Kyle Walker.

Either way, the England staff will make Kylian Mbappé their priority.

A member of the British Federation would have even been commissioned to carefully study the style of the Blues for two whole years.

And for good reason, the English do not want to suffer a second consecutive defeat against France, after that of 2017. During this match, Kylian Mbappé had already martyred the defense of the Three Lions.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker was only 17 at the time.
