This week, at the Paris Boat Show, a brand new New Zealand invention is attracting the attention of the curious: a bicycle for pedaling on water!

It will be sold in France next year against the tidy sum of nearly 10,000 euros for an entry-level model.

Cycling on water is possible!

A new New Zealand invention, different from aquabiking which consists of cycling under water, will allow this small feat.

It will be marketed in France next year and, for the most impatient, it is possible to preview it this week at the Paris Boat Show located at Porte de Versailles.

10,000 euros for the entry level

Handlebars, saddle, pedals but instead of wheels, this bike has a rudder, a propeller and two horizontal foils, carbon wings that allow you to get out of the water.

"It's a water bike that rides the waves and mixes the feeling of sliding with that of cycling, pedaling. It's a great innovation, it didn't exist until then", explains at the microphone of Europe 1 Myriam Cabrol, exclusive distributor for France of this invention.

An electric assistance makes it possible to extract the bike from the water and then to pedal more easily.

Owning such a water bike costs almost 10,000 euros for the entry level.

It is therefore above all the market of professional rental companies that is targeted.
