The winners of this year were announced on the 5th, and Otani entered the first team, where the top five players in the entire major league are selected in the starting pitcher category.

In the designated hitter division, Alvarez of the Astros, who hit 37 home runs, was selected for the first team, and Ohtani was selected as the runner-up for the second team. Entered the "All MLB Team" in two divisions in a row.

In his fifth season in the major leagues, Otani recorded top-class results in both pitching and hitting, with 15 wins as a pitcher and an ERA of 2.33, and 34 home runs and 95 RBIs as a batter.

Last season, when he hit 46 home runs, he was selected as a designated hitter for the first team and as a starting pitcher for the second team.

This year, the pitching and hitting are reversed.
