Hedvig Lindahl has long been the number one goalkeeper in the Swedish national team.

But after this summer's EC in England, she told Dagens Nyheter that she was no longer betting on being the first goalkeeper in the national team, and national team captain Peter Gerhardsson decided to look at other goalkeepers during the autumn season.

But now 39-year-old Lindahl, who now plays in Djurgården, has decided that she would like to return to the national team - which next summer will play the WC in Australia and New Zealand.

- I have told Peter that I am in any case available for selection if he is interested, she said, when she visited Sportspegeln on Sunday evening.

The next national team squad will be presented on Tuesday, ahead of a camp in Portugal in January.
