Emirati cyclist Mohammed Al Balushi wins the third place in the World Cup of Rally Baha

UAE motocross champion and Red Bull athlete, Mohammed Al Balushi, on a KTM bike, achieved third place in the overall standings of the Motorcycle World Championship, after leading the competitions of the second day of the Dubai Desert Rally, the last round of the Desert Rally World Cup.

After Al Balushi suffered from mechanical problems on the first day, he succeeded in winning the stages of the second day, securing third place in the overall standings of the Motorcycle World Championship.

The championship title went to the Polish Konrad Dabrowski, after he finished second behind the Dubai Rally champion for the 2022 edition, the Austrian Tobas Leicester.

Before the final round in Dubai, Al-Balooshi won the motorcycle category title in the seventh round of the Baja World Cup, which was held in the Saudi city of Hail.

Al Balooshi is one of the pioneers of motocross racing in the UAE, and has previously scored many victories in many competitions around the world, most notably his winning the World Cup in the Spanish town of Bajas 2018 in the FIM Rally.

In the same year, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, "may God protect him," awarded him the title of "Athlete of the Year."

Al Balooshi won the MX Middle East championship several times, and also owns the MX Academy, which is the largest motocross and enduro school in the region.
